Team

We provide Traffic Management design & planning services using a technologically more efficient process, providing value engineering for clients and enhanced design for construction projects.

Lionel Boyes

Director

Innovating the business since 1986 and Lionel is always looking for ways to improve on the customer experience and pushing to get 3D accepted as a viable medium was one of this goals.

Working with Associated Asphalt Traffic Management Lionel was the first person to produce Traffic Management designs in CAD format for contracts such as the M25 DBFO for Balfour Beatty Skanska. Later working with Aggregate Industries and Chevron TM Lionel has produced traffic management design for some of the largest projects carried out on UK roads with the best teams available in the business.

With TMPlans Lionel is taking 3D technology and expanding on it to provide BIM compliant temporary traffic management visualisations.

Paul started off working life as an M&E draftsman but now has over 12 years working in the traffic management design industry producing drawings for some of the largest civil engineering companies in the UK.

Previously a traffic management designer at Go Traffic Management where he most notably worked on contracts such as Manchester’s New Metrolink Line (Second City Crossing – 2CC) and the 2012 London Olympics.

Paul more recently has been working alongside Lionel on the HS2 contract as well as multiple Highways England networks on behalf of a variety of some of the largest traffic management companies in the UK.

Richard Childs

Chumleys Illustration

Richard Childs of Chumleys Illustration help architects, developers, engineers and urban planners to communicate their ideas and plans using highly visual representations. With 3D illustration and animation, he offers a very powerful tool that helps the customer in both the public and private sector, whoever that may be, to imagine or visualise their projects in very high detail.

Architectural illustration allows the viewer to see into the future before construction starts. He provides architects, designers and developers with high-quality visual representations for use in concept design, presentations and marketing, and helping to communicate ideas and bring projects to life.

Chumleys Illustration comes in many forms but most popular, is his cutting edge digital paintings, 3D digital models and VR animation. Working from architects elevations and plans, engineer’s drawings and construction details, existing photo reference and client’s sketches, depth and realism are achieved in his 3D illustration. They are useful throughout the whole design process from initial thoughts to feasibility plans to full-blown final designs. Seeing the project in 3D really brings the project to life as if it has already been built.

Richard has worked many clients: The Kier Group, Highways England, Pell Frischmann, Nottingham City Council, to name a few. If you require attractive, informative and ‘accessible’ illustrations in a style that perfectly suits the task in hand, then Richard‘s experience and reputation for producing work of the highest quality, both quickly and economically, is your perfect solution.
